25 Jul Mile High Station Wedding|Megan & Sam
It’s always great to photograph someone you know well. Sam has been playing softball with me for several years. He was on our championship team that went 11-1 a few years back(yes, even in softball we are proud). We have so much fun playing softball and our season starts the last week of February though the last week of October. Pretty good length of a season for Colorado if you ask me. It’s almost an hour drive for me to play, but I have been playing with this group of core guys since 1999. Sam moved away for work for a couple of years and returned to our team(our cleanup hitter), but more importantly returned with his future wife Megan.
Megan and Sam had a downtown Denver wedding at the incredible Mile High Station. Mile High Station is the coolest urban wedding venue in Denver. It used to be an old steel and ironworks building that has been renovated into a beautiful venue.
Sam and Megan opted to see each other before the wedding and had all the photos done before the ceremony. This left plenty of time for them to enjoy cocktail hour and the reception with all their family and friends. Megan and Sam worked extremely hard on all their decorations. Pretty much made all of them by themselves. They also turned me on to Maple and Bacon cupcakes. Holy Deliciousness! They had a table full of a variety of flavor of cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. My diet is pretty much meats and sweets, but after being turned on to Happy Cakes, I might have to switch to just sweets.
